About the Artist

Dawn Steeves (aka Dawn Ravenwind) is a fantasy artist who specializes in scalemail costume design. DragonHEART was established in 2015 and has grown from humble beginnings at local markets to a thriving Etsy store. As a maker, she sells both finished pieces and PDF blueprints for those who wish to craft their own armor.

Her work has reached customers on every continent except Antarctica, and has appeared in films, music videos, theatrical productions, and LARP events. DragonHEART's pieces are designed to be both visually stunning and functional, whether for cosplay, stage performance, or everyday wear.

Dawn resides in the beautiful Kootenay region of British Columbia, Canada. She holds a BSc Hons. degree (2012) and tutors high school mathematics in her spare time. When not creating art, she can be found in her garden, picking berries, poi spinning, and taking part in organizing local arts festivals.
